You should attend your specific F-1 Advisor’s Virtual Office Hours (VOH) when possible. If you are unable to attend their VOH, you may:

1. send an email to your F-1 Advisor via the Contact Us form. Remember to include your UFID number in your email, or
2. join my General VOH.

General Virtual Office Hours (VOH)

All times are in Eastern Time.  An appointment is not needed to join VOH; simply join during the stated times in the schedule below.

My standard VOH schedule is noted below, unless there is an announcement indicating a schedule change.  Please review the ANNOUNCEMENTS section for notes about any temporary changes to the standard schedule.

UF is closed for the Winter Break, December 24, 2025 - January 4, 2026. All VOH is CANCELLED during this time.
 

If you join VOH at the designated time and before the session ends, you will automatically join the Zoom waiting room. Wait times may vary depending on the number of students and the complexity of their questions. For example, if there are ten students ahead of you and each needs approximately 5–6 minutes, your wait could be an hour or more. As long as you join before the published end time, you will be seen. In case you walk away from your device while you're waiting, make sure your speaker volume is turned up loud so that when we call out for you, you can hear us and respond. Otherwise, you will unfortunately be returned to the waiting room or removed from the meeting.
 

To help us assist you efficiently:

• Ensure your Zoom display name matches your name as it appears on your passport/I-20 (no nicknames or initials).
• Ensure your mic and speakers are working.
• Be ready to provide your UFID number.
